A well meeting colleague complimented my work bag, but also asked how I fit anything in there!? Fit what exactly - was my reply. This then lead to a conversation about how I don’t bring work home and my work bag is just to help me carry some essentials! 🗣️ it’s time to normalize teachers leaving work at work. It’s time to normalize teachers not working overtime for free. It’s time to normalize having a life beyond the four walls of your classroom. It’s time to normalize teaching it be a career you love and not your whole identity! WHO’S WITH ME?! If you’ve read this far, here’s a little tip : Sticky notes are my go-to for being able to walk out at the door at contract time .
