What are Take Home Book Buddies?
You know all of those super cute character stuffed animals you bought? (#instagrammademedoit) Put them to good use by pairing them with some fun literacy activities and sending them home with with your students.
How?
Well, take your stuffed animal, a book or books from their series, some fun literacy activities… put it all in a tote (you’re a teacher, you know you have a ton of tote bags laying around!) and ta-da you have a take home book buddy.
Why?
Take Home Book Buddies are a fun way for families to share in literacy experiences with their child at home. It is also a great tool to get children excited about reading at home. Research shows that reading daily as well as listening to reading will help children become stronger, more successful readers. Take Home Book Buddies will build a home-school connection and foster a lifelong love of reading!
